More Murder Mystery Tickets Available!
We now have more tickets available for both of our Murder Mystery evenings:
Friday 10th November - 6 spaces
Thursday 7th December - 4 spaces
The story behind both of the evenings is as follows...
The much-anticipated 60th birthday party of wealthy UK financier, Gerry Hatrick, had long been marked on the calendars of everyone who is anyone in highest society. The Proposed Scene – Millers Country Club Hotel; the Grand Ballroom; tables lavishly set for 200 guests, and the highlight of the evening... breaking off from their much publicised American tour; an appearance and performance from the infamous blues/rock band – Akie Joynt!
Best Laid Plans – on the eve of the great event; on a night out with the boys from the band; Gerry breaks his ankle whilst dancing a most unusual interpretation of ‘oops upside you head’. The fact that Gerry would now be on crutches for his party was upsetting enough, but the following morning, back at Millers, lead singer – Ivor Keychange, is found dead, face down in the Chrysanthemum bed in front of the main entrance.
The Revised Scene – Gerry with his foot in plaster; Millers closed! – a scene of ‘suspicious death’ investigations and a band with a dead lead singer.
With only hours to go before the party, Gerry’s wife, Ida, and her best friend, Maggie, scour the county for an alternative venue and entertainment. Salvation comes just in time when Bet Wynch, local landlady of The Pheasant Plucker, offers up the backroom of her pub along with her brother’s Rod Stewart tribute act.
Poor Gerry, not quite the evening he had anticipated – but hey, as they say: ‘The Way It Goes … Sometimes’
Both evenings will begin at 7.30pm and a beef bourguignon supper will be served during the evening. The vegetarian alternative is a Stilton, mushroom and pine nut filo parcel served with a red wine jus.
